-4th Sunday in Lent-

Lent: Faithful Life of Following Jesus - Matthew 17:14-27

It is easy to feel close to God during spiritual “mountaintop” experiences, but real faith is tested when we step back down into the messiness of the world. In Matthew 17, Jesus leads His disciples from the glorious Mount of Transfiguration into a valley filled with spiritual conflict, human suffering, and unbelief.

Through a surprising series of events in this chapter, healing a epileptic boy, predicting His own crucifixion, and miracle story of a coin found in a fish, Jesus totally deconstructs the exhausting, rule-bounding “religious life.” Instead, Jesus invites us to embrace a dynamic, “faithful life” marked by true meaning and change.

This Sunday, we will explore what it means to stop relying on our own strength and start resting in the radical freedom of being God’s children. Please join us as we discover how the sacrificial love of the cross empowers us to lay down our own rights and bring healing to our messy lives.

 -사순절 넷째 주일-

사순절: 예수님을 따라 가는 믿음의 삶 - 마태복음 17:14-27

영적인 “산 위의 경험”을 할 때가 있습니다. 수련회나 기도원, 일상을 떠나면 경험 할 수 있는 하나님의 은혜와 친밀감이 있습니다. 그러나 참된 믿음은 다시 세상의 복잡하고 어지러운 현실 속으로 돌아올 때 시작됩니다. 마태복음 17장에서 예수님은 제자들을 영광스러운 변화산에서 데리고 내려와 영적인 갈등과 인간의 고통, 그리고 불신앙이 가득한 골짜리로 인도하십니다.

이 변화산 이후의 사건들 - 간질병으로 고통받는 소년을 고치신 일, 십자가에 죽음을 예고하신 일, 그리고 물고기 입에서 동전을 얻는 기적의 이야기 - 을 통해 예수님은 우리를 규칙 중심의 “종교적인 삶”을 완전히 해체하셔서 자유로운 삶을 얻게 하십니다. 참된 의미와 변화를 이루어 내기 위해 “지친 신앙”이 아니라 “산을 움직이는 신앙”으로 초대하십니다.

이번 주일에는 우리의 힘과 지혜에 의지하는 삶을 내려놓고, 하나님의 자녀로서 누리는 자유 안에서 쉼을 얻는다는 것이 무엇을 의미하는지 살펴보려고 합니다. 십자가의 희생적인 사랑이 어떻게 우리를 자유한 신앙으로 인도하는지, 복잡하고 어지러운 삶 가운데 치유와 회복을 가져줄수 있는지 나누어 보려고 합니다.

함께 예배하며 삶을 공유하며 기도할때 부어지는 기쁨과 소망이 우리 유스들에게 넘쳐나기를 기도합니다.
