-5th Sunday of Easter-

“Women in Bible: Rahab - Red Woven Cord” - Joshua 2:1-21 

This Sunday, we are sharing the story of Rahab, a woman whose faith rose from unlikely place. Before the walls of Jericho fell, God was already at work in a hidden room on the city’s end, planting courage in the midst of fearful hearts. 

Rahab’s story reminds us that faith begins when we listen to God’s word even if we don’t see any evidence of God’s victory. Her story shows us that true faith produces loyalty, love for family, and a hope that overcome the power of this world. 

As we gather for worship, let us come with that same open heart, ready to hear, ready to trust, and ready to be shaped by God’s grace.

3. Senior Lunch after worship this Sunday. This gathering will be our last lunch together. Please come with prayer request and encouraging hearts.

4. This coming Saturday, we will be making carnations for Mother’s Day / Parents’ Sunday. We would appreciate your participation.

-부활절 다섯째 주일-

“성경속의 여성: 라합 - 붉게 엮은 줄” - 여호수아 2:1-21

성경속에 많은 믿음의 사람들 이야기중 여성들의 이야기들을 조금 둘러보려고 합니다. 그중 첫번째 이야기로 이번주일은 라합의 이야기를 나누려고 합니다. 예상하지 못한 자리에서 믿음이 피어난 여인의 이야기인데요, 여리고 성벽이 무너지기 전, 하나님은 이미 그 곳에서 한 여인을 통해 일하고 계셨습니다. 두려움에 사로잡힌 마음들중에 희망을 심고 계셨습니다.

라합의 이야기는 믿음이란 하나님의 역사에 대한 어떤 증거도 볼수 없을때라도 하나님의 말씀에 귀 기울이는 데서 시작되는 것을 알려 줍니다. 참된 믿음은 충성, 가족을 향한 사랑, 그리고 세상의 권세를 이기는 소망을 낳는다는 것을 보여 줍니다.

내일 함께 예배 드릴 때, 라합과 같은 열린 마음으로 하나님의 말씀을 듣기를 원합니다. 주님을 향한 신뢰와 충성이 쌓일수 있도록, 그래서 주님의 뜻에 빚어져서 이 세상이 무너질때 구원받을수 있는 우리 자녀들 될수 있기를 기도합니다.

1. 이번주 금요일은 보바 아우팅으로 모이겠습니다. 편안하고 즐거운 분위기 속에 아이들과 나눔의 시간이 되도록 많은 참여 있기를 바라겠습니다.

2. 유스 기도카드가 소예배당 입구에 비치되어 있습니다. 기도요청을 하고 싶은 유스는 이용해주시기 바랍니다.

3. 졸업반 모임이 오늘 점심 시간에 있습니다. 마지막으로 함께 나눔과 기도의 시간을 가지려고 합니다. 우리 졸업하는 친구들이 꿈과 신앙으로 날개를 펼수 있기를 기도합니다.

4. 오는 토요일 어머니날/부모님주일을 위해 카네이션 만들기를 합니다. 많은 참여 부탁드리겠습니다.

> 토요일: 카네이션 만들기 - 오후 4시 모임

 

**카네이션 봉사를 위해 아래의 시간에 맞춰 올수 있는 친구들 있으면 보내주시면 감사하겠습니다.

5. 2026 여름 수련회 - Unity Retreat 이 6월 14-17일까지 열립니다. 아래 링크나 혹은 수련회 웹싸이트를 이용하셔서 등록해 주시길 바라겠습니다.

*5월전에 등록을 마쳐주시면 도움이 많이 될것 같습니다. (5월 17일 이후 등록자는 등록비가 50불 오릅니다.)

*중요>>> 등록비는 구글폼에 "Yes I have submitted payment" 를 눌러주시고, 저희 교회 pay to order: Korean UMC of SCV 하여서 저에게 주시면 제가 한번에 정리하도록 하겠습니다. (이미 등록비를 열린교회 싸이트를 통해 내신분은 괜찮습니다)
