-2nd Sunday of Easter-

Resurrection: Life of Release - John 20:19-23

At times, even young people carry the weight of life on their own, holding onto anxiety and fear in silence.

In John 20, the disciples had locked the doors, trapped in fear about what might happen next. At that very moment, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

Jesus came to them in their fear, when they were grieving and in pain after losing the Lord they loved and depended on. And in order for them to experience the peace that comes from heaven, He breathed the Holy Spirit upon them and told them to forgive, calling them to a kind of forgiveness that fully releases and let go.

Even today, the Lord comes to us with that same peace. Into the places where we have built walls and shut the doors of our hearts, because of worries, anxieties, and wounds, He enters and calls us to live a life of forgiveness, a life of letting go, for the sake of ourselves and others.

This, Sunday, I hope we can gather in worship and experience the Lord’s peace together. In His presence, may we be renewed and become channels of His grace, carrying it out into the world.

2. Prayer cards available at the entrance of small chapel. Please use those cards for your prayer requests.

3. Please use compost bin (kitchen) for the leftover food. Please do not trash food at the youth room or small chapel. Please empty and rinse drink bottles and recycle.  

4. Escape Room - April 24, Friday. Please let us know if you are participating the activity by next Sunday. (HS members are highly encouraged to participate).

-부활절 둘째 주일-

부활: 놓아주는 삶 - 요한복음 20:19-23

때로는 인생의 무게 속에서 젊은 이들도 불안과 두려움을 혼자 감당하며 살아갑니다.

요한복음 20장에서 제자들은 문을 굳게 잠근 채, 앞으로 일어날 일에 대한 두려움 속에 갇혀 있었습니다. 바로 그때, 예수님께서 그들 가운데 찾아오셔서 말씀하십니다. “너희에게 평강이 있을지어다.”

예수님은 그들이 두려움 가운데 있을 때, 그리고 사랑하고 의지하던 주님을 잃어버린 슬픔과 고통 속에 있을 때 그들을 찾아오셨습니다. 그리고 하늘에 속한 평강을 누리게 하시기 위해 성령의 숨을 불어넣으시고, 용서하라고 말씀하셨습니다. 완전히 내려놓고 놓아주는 용서를 말입니다.

오늘 우리에게도 주님은 여전히 같은 평강으로 찾아오십니다. 삶의 여러 걱정과 근심, 상처로 인해 마음에 벽을 세우고 문을 닫아버린 우리 안으로 들어오셔서, 용서하며 살아가라고, 놓아주는 삶을 살라고 말씀하십니다. 자신과 이웃을 위해서 말입니다.

이번 주일에도 함께 예배하며 주님의 평강을 누리기를 소망합니다. 그분의 임재 안에서 새롭게 되어, 세상에 은혜를 흘려보내는 주님의 통로로 살아가기를 기도합니다.

1. 이번주 금요일은 성경묵상과 나눔의 시간을 가집니다.

2. 유스 기도카드가 소예배당 입구에 비치되어 있습니다. 기도요청을 하고 싶은 유스는 이용해주시기 바랍니다.

3. 유스부방에 개미가 생기기 시작했습니다. 점심후 남은 음식물은 식당에서 분리 수거 할수 있도록 부탁드리겠습니다.

4. 탈출 방 게임 - 4월 24일 금요모임. 고등부 친구들과 함께 할수 있는 액티비티를 하려고 합니다. 다음 주일까지 참여여부를 알려주시면 인원에 맞춰 티켓을 예매하겠습니다. (회비 $25/youth).
