-3rd Sunday in Lent-

“Misunderstood: Walking on Water” - Genesis 1:1-4 // Matthew 14:22-36

Have you ever felt like you were stuck in the “fourth watch of the night,” exhausted, overwhelmed, and surrounded by the storms of life? This Sunday, we will reflect on the story of Jesus walking on the water in Matthew 14. However, this is more than a miracle story. It is a beautiful depiction of the New Creation.

Just as the Spirit of God hovered over the chaotic waters at the beginning of the creation, Jesus walks upon the stormy sea to bring peace and order to our chaos and broken hearts. 

Please join us tomorrow to deepen our walk with Jesus and discover where Jesus is leading us.

-사순절 셋째 주일-

“오해: 물위를 걷다” - 창세기 1:14 // 마태복음 14:22-36

살다가 보면 인생의 폭풍을 만날 때가 옵니다. 피할수 없고 견뎌내기 어려운 어두운 밤에 일어나는 폭풍은 인생의 무게를 가르쳐 주기도 합니다. 

이번 주일에는 마태복음 14장에 나오는 예수님께서 물 위에 걸으시는 이야기를 묵상하려고 합니다. 하지만 이 기적의 이야기는 표면으로 보기 어려운 깊은 의미를 카지고 있습니다. 이 기적의 이야기는 새로운 창조를 보여주는, 창세기의 창조 이야기를 예수님을 통해 다시 보여주는 사건입니다.

창세기에서 하나님의 영이 혼둔의 물 위에 운행하시며 창조를 시작하셨던 것 처럼, 예수님께서는 폭풍이 이는 바다 위를 걸으시며 우리의 혼돈과 상한 마음가운데 평안과 질서를 가져오십니다. 그리고 결국 이끄시는 곳은 평화의 나라, 치유와 안식이 있는 곳임을 보여 줍니다.

내일 함께 모여 예배하며 예수님과 동행을 더 깊이 나누고, 예수님께서 어디로 인도하시는지 꿈꾸는 시간이 되기를 기도합니다.
