-4th Sunday of Easter-

“Accepted into the Wedding Feast” - Matthew 22:1-14

In the Parable of the Wedding Feast, Jesus reminds us that God’s kingdom is both a gracious invitation and a holy calling. The King prepares a feast and invites many. The King shows the wide and generous mercy. Yet those who come are also called to receive the life God demands - to be clothed in Christ.

After the Lent, and now living in celebration of the Lord’s resurrection, we pause to remember the cost of that invitation. We pause to ponder upon the mystery of sacrificial love of Jesus Christ on the cross. As we gather for worship this Sunday, let our hearts be open to God’s grace and let us respond with lives shaped by humility, meekness, repentance, and renewed faith.

-부활절 넷째주일-

“혼인잔치의 초대” - 마태복음 22:1-14

마태복음의 혼인잔치 비유에서 예수님은 하나님의 나라가 은혜로운 초대이면서 동시에 거룩한 부르심임을 우리에게 가르쳐 주시고 있습니다. 왕은 잔치를 준비하고 많은 사람들을 초대하였습니다. 왕은 넓고 풍성한 자비를 보여주었습니다. 그러나 그 자리에 나아온 사람들은 왕이 요구하는 삶을 받아드리도록 부르심도 받았습니다. 곧 하나님의 의, 예수 그리스도의 옷으로 입는 삶입니다.

사순절이 지나고 부활의 주님을 기뻐하고 즐거워 하는 시간을 보내고 있지만 십자가의 헌신으로 베풀어주신 혼인 잔치에 담긴 대가를 기억해야 합니다. 십자가 위에서 모든 것 주신 예수님의 희생적이고 신비스러운 사랑을 기억해야 합니다. 이번 주일 함께 예배할때 우리들의 마음이 은혜의 초청에 응답하며, 겸손과 온유, 회개와 새롭게된 믿음으로 변화되어가는 우리 자녀세대가 되기를 기도합니다.
