-3rd Sunday of Advent-

Advent: Joy In The Waiting - Matthew 11:2-11

This Advent season, Joy doesn’t come from perfect circumstances. Joy comes from trusting that God is still at work. In Matthew 11, John the Baptist asks from prison, “Are you the One?” Jesus responds not with titles, but with what’s happening: healing, restoration, and good news for the poor.

Even in waiting, doubt, and loss, God’s joy breaks through where love is lived out. Please join us this Sunday worship as we reflect on a joy that shows up in real ways. Jesus invites us gently to become good news for the world.

-대림절 셋째 주일-

대림절의 기쁨은 완벽하고 행복한 상황에서 오는 것은 아닙니다. 하나님께서 여전히 일하고 계심을 알고 신뢰하는 데서 기쁨은 솟아 납니다. 마태복음 11장에서 세례 요한은 감옥에서 “오실 그분이 당신입니까?”라고 질문합니다. 예수님의 응답은 “맞다 네가 기다리던 메시야다”라고 하는 어떤 원리적인 대답이 아니었습니다. 이사야서를 인용하시면서 복음의 일이 일어나고 있음으로 대답하셨습니다. 치유와 회복이 가난한 사람들에게 일어나고 있음으로 말입니다. 

기다림과 의심, 상실함 가운데서도 하나님의 기쁨은 사랑이 살아 움직이는 곳에서 생명력 있게 터져 나옵니다. 실제적인 모습으로 만질수 있는 기쁨을 함께 바라볼수 있도록, 세상을 향한 기쁜 소식이 될수 있도록 함께 예배의 자리로 나아갑시다. 기다리는 주님께서 만나 주실 것을 믿습니다.
