“Life: The Fire That Does Not Go Out” -Exodus 3:1-15

This Sunday, we will meditate on the story of Moses encountering God in the burning bush. In the wilderness, Moses saw a small and fragile thornbush burning with fire, yet it was not consumed. There, in a place of weariness and uncertainty, God called his name and made the ground holy.

Many of us know what it feels like to stand in a weary season. Yet God’s presence meets us even there, not as a fire that destroys, but as a fire that surrounds, protects, and gives light.

Please join us this Sunday as we listen for God’s voice and remember His promise, “I will be with you.”

1. Please pray for Schurz Mission this week - 6/25-28.  

1-1. Youth Mission Team meeting starts at 2 PM.

2. We are looking for youth volunteers for the Children's Ministry VBS. Any youth who are interested, please sign up!

3. PTA Meeting — Sunday, June 21 at 1:15 PM

• We will take time to thank the PTA officers who served faithfully over the past year and introduce the new PTA officers.
• We will also introduce the newly appointed Youth Ministry Pastor/Director. (There will be a slight change of position. Please contact me if you have questions.)
• Since it is Father’s Day, we will do our best to keep the meeting as brief as possible.

-성령강림후 넷째 주일-

“인생: 꺼지지 않는 불꽃” -출애굽기 3:1-15

이번 주일에는 모세가 불 붙은 떨기나무 가운데서 하나님을 만난 이야기를 나누려고 합니다. 광야 한가운데서 모세는 작고 연약한 가시나무에 불이 붙은것을 보았습니다. 그러나 이상하게도 그 불 붙은 가시나무는 타서 없어지지 않았습니다. 그 희안한 광경에 이끌려 그 가시나무에 가까이 다가갔을때 그는 하나님의 음성을 들었습니다. 치치고 외로웠던 인생을 살고 있었던 모세에게 그의 이름을 불러주시며 그곳을 거룩한 곳으로 만들어 주셨습니다.

우리도 삶의 지친 계절을 지나느 것이 어떤 느낌인지 잘 알고 있습니다. 나이가 어리다고 느끼는 유스부도 그들의 나름대로의 번아웃과 힘듬이 있습니다. 하지만 하나님의 임재는 바로 그 자리에 나타나시고 그들을 붙잡아 주십니다. 그들을 태워 없애는 불이 아니라, 그들을 감싸안고, 보호하며, 빛을 비추어 주는 불꽃으로 말입니다.

이번 주일 예배 가운데 그런 하나님의 임재가 있기를 기도합니다. 우리 모두 우리의 이름을 불러주시는 하나님 음성에 귀를 기울이고, “내가 반드시 너와 함께 하겠다”라는 하나님의 약속을 마음에 담는 시간이 되길 간절히 기도합니다.
