-Ascension Sunday-

“I’m no longer in the world, but they are in the world, even as I’m coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them in your name, the name you gave me, that they will be one just as we are one…Now I’m coming to you and I say these things while I’m in the world so that they can share completely in my joy.” - John 17:11,13

The work of God that Jesus came to this earth to accomplish is for us to become one with God, and for us to become one with each other…so that joy may overflow and fill this earth. 

It is my hope that through worship and fellowship, the joy and wonder of salvation may be restored within us. And I pray that those hearts full of joy may overflow into everything we do. I earnestly pray, in particular, that the joy of the Lord's grace may be passed on to the next generation.

Tomorrow, Teacher Eric Kimn will be delivering the message. I pray that through his message, our youth will be nurtured and their faith will be strengthened and uplifted.

“나는 이제 더 이상 세상에 있지 않으나, 그들은 세상에 있습니다. 나는 아버지께로 갑니다. 거룩하신 아버지, 아버지께서 내게 주신 아버지의 이름으로 그들을 지켜주셔서, 우리가 하나인 것 같이, 그들도 하나가 되게 하여 주십시오…이제 나는 아버지께로 갑니다. 내가 세상에서 이것을 아뢰는 것은, 내 기쁨이 그들 속에 차고 넘치게 하려는 것입니다.” -요한복음서 17:11,13

예수님께서 이땅에 오셔서 이루신 하나님의 일은 우리가 하나님과 하나되고 서로가 하나되고 그래서 기쁨이 이 땅에 충만하게 되는 것입니다. 예배와 나눔을 통해 우리 안에 구원의 기쁨과 감동이 회복되기를 소망합니다. 그래서 그 기쁨의 마음들이 무엇을 하던지 흘러 넘칠수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 특별히 주님의 은혜의 기쁨이 우리 다음세대에게 전해지기를 간절히 기도합니다.

내일은 김경석 권사님께서 말씀을 전해 주십니다. 그 말씀을 통해 우리 유스들이 양육받고 믿음이 북돋우어 지지기를 간절히 기도합니다.
